A step-by-step guide on how to change the case ID
⭐ Company Admins can change the case ID of any case on the platform
⭐ Case Owners can change the case ID only of their own cases

- Open the case you need to change the ID on. How do I locate a case I'm working on?
- On the dashboard, the current case ID is displayed on the left hand side at the top of the menu bar
- Click the edit icon next to the case ID
- You'll be redirected to the settings page
- Amend the case ID as needed and click Save
- The change is instant
💁 For Scottish users, the Case ID will map to the Your reference field on the C1 form
💡 Just like when you create a case, the case ID must be unique. The system will inform you if there is a case already created with the same ID
