How do I set up the Actionstep integration with Exizent
This article will guide you through quick and easy steps to set up an integration to share data between Actionstep and Exizent
Setup process
- In Exizent, a member of your team with Company Administrator permission levels should navigate to Company settings

- Select the Integrations tab

Click the + Add integration button

- Select Actionstep in the Integration type dropdown

Click the Log in button to connect your Actionstep account with Exizent
- Confirm the matter types you want to link to Exizent. A user with Actionstep Administrator privileges can click on the Admin spanner icon in the top right corner of Actionstep, then select the Matter types option. Select the Settings button for the relevant probate matter type(s) then the Edit button next to Matter type settings. Copy the value in the Matter type name field and paste into the Matter types field in Exizent. If you have more than one probate matter type, use the Add another matter type button in Exizent to list the other values.
- Confirm the participant types you want to link to Exizent for deceased, executors and beneficiaries. A user with Actionstep Administrator privileges can click on the Admin spanner icon in the top right corner of Actionstep, then select the Additional settings option. Click the Edit button beside Participant types. Identify the relevant participant types for Deceased, Executor and Beneficiary in Actionstep. Click each participant type to identify the Participant type name field value. Copy the Participant type name value and paste into the corresponding participant type fields in Exizent. If you have more than participant type setup in Actionstep for deceased, executor or beneficiary, use the "Add another" option to list the other values.
- Click Save. This will add the integration to your account and you will see all active integrations on the Integrations tab in the Company settings page.
- On the Integrations tab of your Company settings you will now see a Create case via integration link next to your Actionstep integration. Click the link and you can follow the instructions in this article to create your Actionstep cases in Exizent.
- Try a test case to make sure you see a new case appearing in Exizent with all the data populated you expected to transfer between the 2 systems. Get in touch with our support team via support@legal.exizent.com if you need any assistance
