HMRC sometimes announce new versions of forms. As soon as we have access to the latest version, we will start work on adding it to the platform. This article guides you through how to update an old version of a form when a new one becomes available
ℹ️ If a new version of a HMRC form is added to the Exizent platform, this will always be the version used when a user is generating a new form on a case. The following guidance is focused on upgrading a form that a user has generated before the newest version became available
- To access court and IHT forms, choose Documents and forms from the lefthand side menu and then navigate to either section
- Within the forms areas, if a newer version of a form you have previously generated is available, you will see a notification at the top of the forms area asking if you would like to upgrade your current form(s) to the newest version (IHT423 used as an example below)

- You can then manually select Update all if you'd like to upgrade to the newest version. Please be aware, if you have multiple forms, for example five IHT423 forms, all five forms will be updated to the newest version. If you would like to keep some forms in the old format, please either detach the form so it will not be affected by any updates or download and save the form to your computer before you click to update
⚠️ Once Update all is selected, all relating forms will be updated. If you would like to keep some older versions, please see our guide on how to detach a form or our guide on how to save the form to your computer before clicking Update all
- Once a user clicks to update, the page will automatically refresh with all the upgraded versions and the notification at the top of the page will disappear
💁 Please note, if you decide not to update, old versions of forms will still be updated with information you enter in to the case
