How do I add Multifactor Authentication (MFA) to my Exizent account?

MFA is an extra layer of security to your Exizent account

⚠️ Please do not use your phone's camera to scan the QR code on the login page, this should be scanned using the MFA app of your choice. Guidance below

MFA set up:

  • Ensure you have registered your company on the Exizent platform and invited all relevant users. See Registration and Invite users for help with this
  • The first time you sign into your Exizent account you will be presented with a Secure Your Account screen with a QR code and a space to enter your one-time multifactor authentication code 
  • Choose an authenticator app to download on to your phone or computer desktop

💁 The articles below provide some assistance setting up each of the supported authenticator apps if you need help:

  • Once you have chosen an authenticator app and downloaded it on to your phone or desktop, use the app to then scan the QR code that will have appeared on the Exizent log in page
  • Once scanned, an Exizent account will be added to your authenticator app and you'll see a one time code appear
  • If you have issues scanning the QR code or are using desktop, choose the Trouble scanning option on the log in page to generate a manual code
  • Once this one-time code is generated, enter it in to the log in screen to log in and MFA setup is now complete 

💡 The one-time code in the authenticator app will reset every 30 seconds - there is a timer next to the code indicating how long you have left to enter the code until a new one is generated

  • Next time you log in to Exizent, you will be asked for the one time code, look to your app to get the code and when you enter it, you have the option to tick  'remember this for 30 days' if you do this, you will only be asked for a code every 30 days and f you do not choose to remember the device, you will be asked for an MFA code upon every log in
